Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-20
AccidentLawyerReview ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights regarding your data.
What we collect
Information you provide
- Contact forms: If you submit a contact or "Get Free Quote" form, we collect the information you provide (typically name, phone number, email, location, brief description of your situation).
- Newsletter subscriptions: Email address only.
- Email correspondence: The content of emails you send us.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics: We use Plausible Analytics (a privacy-friendly alternative to Google Analytics). Plausible collects aggregated, anonymized page visit data — no cookies, no personal identification.
- Phone call tracking: If you call a tracked phone number on our site, our pay-per-call partner (Ringba) collects your phone number, call duration, and a recording for quality assurance.
- Server logs: Standard web server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) are kept for up to 30 days for security and debugging.
How we use your information
- To connect you with attorneys when you submit a contact form or call a tracked number.
- To respond to your questions when you email us.
- To improve our content and site using aggregated analytics.
- To send newsletters only if you've subscribed (you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email).
- To comply with legal obligations if required by law.
Who we share information with
Attorneys you contact
If you submit a "Get Free Quote" form on a city page, we route your inquiry to one of the firms reviewed on that page. The receiving firm will see the information you provided. We may route your inquiry to multiple firms if the page indicates a shared-lead arrangement (specified in our form labels).
Pay-per-call networks
Phone calls placed to tracked numbers are routed through Ringba and connect you directly to a participating law firm. Ringba's privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy.
Service providers
We use the following service providers, each with their own privacy policies:
- Plausible Analytics (site analytics, GDPR-friendly)
- Cloudflare (hosting, CDN, DNS)
- Resend (transactional emails)
- ConvertKit (newsletter, if you subscribe)
- Ringba (call tracking)
Legal compliance
We may disclose information if required by law (court order, subpoena, etc.) or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
Your rights
If you're in the European Union (GDPR)
- Right to access your personal data
- Right to correct inaccurate data
- Right to deletion ("right to be forgotten")
- Right to restrict processing
- Right to data portability
- Right to object to processing
- Right to withdraw consent at any time
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@accidentlawyerreview.com.
If you're in California (CCPA / CPRA)
- Right to know what personal information we collect about you
- Right to delete personal information
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information
- Right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights
We do not "sell" personal information in the traditional sense, but when you submit a lead form, we share your information with the receiving attorney — under CCPA this may be considered "sharing." You can opt out by not submitting the form. To exercise other rights, email privacy@accidentlawyerreview.com.
Cookies
We do not use tracking cookies. Plausible Analytics is cookieless. We may use session cookies only for functional purposes (e.g., remembering your form progress on a multi-step lead form) — these expire when you close your browser.
Data retention
- Contact form submissions: retained 3 years for follow-up, then deleted
- Newsletter subscribers: retained while subscribed; deleted within 30 days of unsubscription
- Server logs: 30 days
- Email correspondence: 3 years from last reply
Security
We use industry-standard security practices: HTTPS encryption, secure server hosting (Cloudflare), and limited internal access to personal data. No method is 100% secure, but we work to minimize risk.
Children's privacy
Our site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us personal information, please email us so we can delete it.
International data transfers
Our servers are located in the United States. If you access our site from outside the US, your data will be transferred to the US for processing. By using our site, you consent to this transfer.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change indicates acceptance.
